On June 21-24, 2004 in the framework of the Virtual Silk Highway
Project a Computer Security Workshop took place in Yerevan, Armenia at Olympia Hotel
Conference Hall. The workshop was organized by Armenian Research
Educational Networking Association (ARENA) Foundation and Armenia
Computer Emergency Response Team (AMCERT). Funding was kindly provided
by ISOC. |

ARMENIAN RESEARCH EDUCATIONAL NETWORKING ASSOCIATION (ARENA) FOUNDATION
was founded in Yerevan on December 5, 2000. ARENA Foundation aims at
establishment and administration of research and educational networks
in Armenia. ARENA works towards enlarging exchange of information
between scientific communities, libraries, museums, and other
non-profit organisations. The Foundation would develop high-quality
national and international information and telecommunication facilities
to support research and educational projects in Armenia.
ARMENIA COMPUTER SECURITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (AMCERT)
is a non-profit independent volunteer organisation established under the auspices and with the support of the Internet Society of Armenia and the Armenian Internet Company.
AMCERT's mission is to serve as the point of contact for all computer
and Internet security issues in Armenia, encourage information security
awareness, provide practical advice, and coordinate information
security efforts in Armenia.
