By public transport:
Option 1. From Schiphol Airport by train (approx. 20 min.) to
Amsterdam Centraal and next by tram #2 to "Laan van Vlanderen" stop
(approx. 30 min.)
Option 2. From Schiphol Airport by bus #195 to "Antwerpenbaan" stop (approx. 20 min.); bus goes every half
or quater hour

Paying and tickets: National wide Strippenkaart - costs
6.80 EUR (in 2007) for 15 strips and used for multiple trips
It is advisable to buy it before in newspaper or tourist kiosks,
railway ticket office or supermarket, otherwise single trip price
is starting from 2.40 EUR and twice more expensive when paid with
the strippenkaart.
Strippenkaart must be stamped to be valid. There are yellow machines
in
the trams which print the date, time and boarding point on the ticket,
and tickets are regularly checked by inspectors. In the buses, this is a
function of the driver to check and stamp your strippenkaart.
One zone travel requires 2 strips to be stamped. For every
additional zone add 1 strip more. When stamped strippenkaart is valid
for 1 hr travel on all city transport.
